Loss Prevention Security:
These guards will often be in plain clothes and will try to blend in the crowd. They are the eyes for the store owners and work around prevention of losses. In this role you would be watching for suspicious people who may be attempting to shoplift. Keeping an eye and making sure that you continue to act as a ghost investigator is really important because someone may pick up an item but then put it back and if you don’t notice it than you may accidently & falsely accuse an innocent person for theft. This could be disastrous for you, the security company and the retail store. An effective loss prevention guard/team can cut down on losses from theft but can also cost a lot to the image of the business you are working for if you don’t work diligently.
